About

One hundred. That’s all I’m going for – 100 posts to keep my hand practiced in the craft of turning a phrase.

Working for a faith-inspired Non-Government Organization in Manila leaves little room for whimsical writing about the caprice and fancy of life. Over here, the only writing  I do are  technical reports and project proposals. So to shake things up a bit, I opened this blog.

I call this place “Mangled Reckonings” because that’s exactly what you’ll get when you write without research, consultation, editing or reflective pause. Remember this is just to loosen the rust and tighten the screws  – nothing more.

So be forewarned, if you’re looking for deep insights on the human condition, it is best to move on. But if you like the spontaneous, off-the-cuff ramblings of a voodoo child, then welcome to my wall!

  1. Yo Ka Jose,

Nice ramblings. So vinegar really works?

    Nil

    • Yes it is a great lubricant of marital relations. Try it out.

  2. Congratulations for getting your thinking tinker muscle to muster some rambling, trampling, wandering thoughts in a spontaneous, off-the-cuff, unedited weaving of words!
It is indeed an exercise. Enjoy the flexing!

  3. Hey, it’s “Outcrop” all over . Good to hear “the voice” again. I was wondering when that itch would resurface. Sorry I don’t twit or facebook. I am one of those you’d find retired to a remote chinese village learning calligraphy, or a lost little french village living with two truffle sniffing pigs, but for your blogs I WILL TURN MY DAMN COMPUTER ON. Keep on writing your meandering,” mangled reckonings”, it was always what you did best!
Send my best to Gami , Teng and the rest of the crew. Tell them I survived and am
    alive and well….
